Where? What? When?

2017 Walterboro Christmas Parade
Thanks to all of the members of Green Pond Baptist Church who had a part in preparing this year’s float for the Walterboro Christmas parade. The theme of our float was Silent Night, Holy Night and included Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus (playing the part was a real infant – Adalin Grace Campbell, the daughter of Allison and Kevin Campbell). We also had shepherds with live sheep, angels, and Wise Men. We were blessed to win first place in the religious category. Our purpose for being in the parade is not to compete but to share the
true meaning of Christmas with thousands of people along the parade route.                                                                                                                                                         Photo by The Press and Standard

Outdoor Live Nativity

We want to say “Thanks” to everyone who attended our Live Nativity presentations this year. Our guest turnout was great!
We had great weather, large crowds, and wonderful fellowship.  Thanks to everyone at GPBC for your hard work and participation!

Adult Choir Christmas Musical

Green Pond’s adult choir will present the Christmas musical Glorious Song, Marvelous Light on Sunday evening, December 17, at 7:00 p.m. This year’s musical is a perfect blend of traditional Christmas hymns combined with songs by several of today’s most popular contemporary Christian artists such as Chris Tomlin and Paul Baloche. We will enjoy refreshments and a time of fellowship following the musical.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is on Sunday this year. Green Pond Baptist Church will observe our regular Sunday schedule with Bible study beginning at 9:45 a.m. followed by our worship service at 11:00 a.m. As always, everyone is welcome!

New Year’s Eve

On Sunday, December 31, Bible study will begin at 9:45 a.m. then we will wrap up the Christmas season with a Fifth Sunday song service at 11:00 a.m. Several of our talented musicians and singers will take part in leading worship. There will also be a time for those in attendance to request a favorite Christmas hymn. This will be a special way to end the year. Join us!
